Online resources and computer access are offered in nowadays public libraries in order to transform into digital hubs. Although this development faces a certain drawback, I largely agree that the advantages are far more significant.
Admittedly, this shift poses a particular threat to society. One major disadvantage is that some opportunists may use these free public internet access for unreasonable purposes. For example, these computers may turn into a digital virus tester or a base for hackers to attack their enemies without being traced. Consequently, these actions act as public vandalism and can lead to further social unrest. However, if governments or local authorities implement regulations or restrict how far people can access the internet, this problem can be minimized substantially while retaining benefits for those who need it.
Nevertheless, I am convinced that this transformation create greater advantages. One primary benefit is that it can provide free internet access for local residents. Chief among the reasons is that individuals who are in poorer backgrounds can not only easily access to online educations but also update news and social events more regularly. This provision might foster the local and national economy as well as increase social awareness. Another advantage is that it can support students in their learning process. When some students struggle with their session, internet access can give them a solution by recommending the variety of artificial intelligence ( AIs ) nowadays. Thus, students may be motivated to be interested in studying after easily surpassing problems, therefore improving their academic performances.
In conclusion, despite attracting public vandalism, I am inclined that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks because this shift offers free accessibility for local residents and assists students in their educational progression.
