In numerous nations, individuals frequently talk about finances, including how much they earn or spend on items during their daily discussions. There are several reasons for this phenomenon and I consider it to be a negative occurrence.
Firstly, higher cost such as living cost, house rent, higher education, transportation and fuel costs the main reasons for taking about money. In recent, people can’t earn too much more than they spend on things due to unemployment. So most of the time, people take loan for paying their home loan or buy something. Consequently, they often talk about money for this purpose. Secondly, maintaining social status is a common conversation nowadays to think about money. Moreover, to enrich their social status they also buy or wear new things to show off other people. For the reason, they comfortable to say what his earn or how much they pay into their lifestyle’s. For example, people show off their expensive cars, restaurant bills or lifestyles on Facebook and Instagram. Inspired by this, people enjoy to discussing who earns how much or who spent how much in their general chat.
In my opinion, this is a negative development because constantly talking about money and expenses triggers a blind competition among them. As a result, people start spending more than they earn which pushes them into debt. When society gives more importance to money, the young generation make up their mind to become wealthy by any means even through dishonest methods. It could lead to an increase in corruption or crime.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that taking too much about personal income is a negative trend because it poses significant challenges to individual well-being and creates long-term negative consequences for society as a whole. This phenomenon is primarily driven by the rising cost of living and the modern desire for social status.
