In contemporary society, the surfaced trend of consuming diverse foods among individuals instead of their local cuisine that trigger the current food consumptions are unlimited in a country. From my perspective, despite the drawbacks of this trend, I am firmly of the opinion that the benefits far surpass them, and will elucidate the compelling reasons in the following discussion.
First and foremost, it is essential to acknowledge the numerous benefits of this trend. Chief of these is the experience of new culture that comes from consuming other national foods. In the past, people might tend to only eat food in their local areas that limited their understanding of the world. However, with the emergence of globalization, it is more convenient for individuals to experience new cuisine that offers for them an excellent opportunity to broaden their horizons about multicultural significance, contributing to the connection among countries. Another crucial aspect of this trend is the profits that food and beverage companies can earn. In terms of the economic market, once the widespread of international food productions, there are a myriad of beneficial changes for the food companies to develop their revenues. A prime illustration of this point is that this trend probably improves the ability of corporations to approach the diversity of customers from other countries, significantly enhancing their position in the international arena.
Aside from these benefits, there are also barriers to overcome. One of the greatest impediments to this trend is the loss of their cultural identity. Indeed, local cuisines are woven into the fabric of cultural identity, playing a vital role in shaping a sense of own national value. Hence, the integration in the variety of foods can lead to obscure and even lose national values in the future generations. Therefore, it is apparent why many people are against this trend.
In conclusion, while there are some disadvantages in this surfaced tendency, I am completely convinced by its positive development in the food industry. Nevertheless, it is imperative for police workers, local residents, and strategizers to address some serious dilemmas posed by this trend to maximize the beneficial impact on the economy and overall cultural significance of one nation.
