It is often argued that in numerous countries, the authorities prioritise the economic growth more as compared to the other concerning topics. In this essay I will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of this concept, leading to a logical conclusion.
To begin with, one of the most significant advantage is that it helps the government to deal with other concerning issues. In other words, if a country has a satisfying economy, then it can provide the financial support to the government for fixing other concerning issues, such as problems related to the poverty, healthcare facilities, and education system. For instance, many nations, who experienced severe problems at the time of covid, could fixed the devastating issues only with the help of good economic support by their economic system. However I believe that it is completely not beneficial in all scenarios.
On the other hand, this phenomenon also has some major disadvantages. Firstly, giving less attention to other concerns can lead to severe devastating results. That is to say, in some cases, such as poverty, it is not enough to have efficient economic growth, government should have to initiate some specific plans to deal with such issues separately. Secondly, if government does not put enough attention to other concerning topics separately, then it will become more difficult to control these problems. According to a report for example, a number of Asian countries last year faced dramatic problems in their education and their healthcare system as well. This is due to the fact that instead of making plans for their healthcare system and schools, they only thought about their economic growth.
In confusion, despite of having some benefits of prioritizing the economic growth more, such as can be helpful in dealing with other concerning issues, the drawbacks, such as devstating results and uncontrol problems, outway the positives of the same.
