Band 5+: In many countries, to reduce traffic accidents, governments should encourage cyclists and set an age limit for driving licences. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, traffic accident has increased in the countries like India, China, United States. To reduce traffic accident, some people believe that government should encourage the cyclist whereas, others think that people should drive after a certain age. I feel that both perspective are correct and should be given equal importance.

Countries like India, China, United States etc. individuals travel through two or four wheelers by which fuel consumption occurs as well as lot of air get polluted along with that, accidents are happened in large numbers. Government should motivate the people who are travelling through bicycle which leads to reduction in traffic accident. Authorities must set an age limit of 18 + for driving heavy vehicles because teenagers are driving their bikes and bullets in extremely rigorous way which is harmful for them as well as not safe for hawkers, pedestrian and other peoples who lives on the footpath and near slums. There ought to be fixing an generation limit.

However, driving vehicles is also necessary because if people’s destination is far enough, they cannot reach there place on time by going through cycle. Moreover, it consumes more energy. Meanwhile, travelling via vehicles having petrol or diesel engine help us to reach our destination on time. Therefore, encouraging the cyclist and setting the age limit is not only way to reduce accidents.

In conclusion, government should take care of traffic rules-regulation and strict punishment should be impose on them who voilate rules and must focus on other factors also to reduce traffic accidents.
