In recent years, junk food has become increasingly popular in many countries. This popularity has created a belief that it has negative influences on eating habits and routines. I firmly believe that fast food brings numerous negative effects such as physical health problems and nutrient deficiency.
Firstly, excessive consumption of fast food leads to serious health problems, including obesity and heart disease. To elaborate, nowadays fast food can be ordered through online platforms or by phone, limiting individuals from being active, which can contribute to gaining weight. Additionally, since fast food contains a high level of cholesterol, consumers often suffer from heart disease. For instance, approximately 40% of the world population constantly consumes fast food and half of them have reported that they had faced obesity and heart problems.
Secondly, another negative impact associated with fast food consumption is the lack of essential nutrients. The human body requires an adequate amount of nutrients such as proteins or carbohydrates; however not all junk food includes the necessary nutrition. As a result, consumers face poor concentration and fatigue most of the time. For example, regular fast food eaters often complain about vitamin deficiency and lack of energy, as the food they eat does not contain enough vitamins compared to home-cooked meals.
In conclusion, I believe that consuming fast food regularly can have negative consequences on individuals’ lives. In terms of lifestyles, it can make people experience fatigue and lack of concentration over time, in addition to serious health problems, including obesity and heart disease.
