In many nations of the world, today, men and women are in full time employment and therefore it is judicious for them to split household chores. This essay strongly agrees with this viewpoint as it is not sensible for just one gender to be burdened with the responsibily if home making due to an increased level of stress and an unequallevel of work.
Everyone who lives in a house should be tasked with doing household works. In time past, it was more sensible for women to be the only ones doing the chores as they were mostly staying home all day and this gave them a lot of time to focus on house work. In this day and age where women are also juggling both, it is illogical for just them to continue the trend as the level of work, being done outside the home has increased and they would be overexerting themselves. For instance, a lot of women end up having strokes, having due to the fact that they overwork themselves juggling house work and full time jobs.
There is an argument to be made that homes of the past worked even though the men did little to no house work, this only worked because only men would be gone from the house all day, now that there is a similar time being used for work outside the home, it is only sensible for the same amount of time and effort to be put into the home by both genders.
In conclusion, while a number of men have grown up to see their older male counterparts not doing anything in the home, the current economic state of the world cannot afford for just one breadwinner, and an equal contribution in working outside the home, additionally requires an even amount of effort put towards the homestead.
