In many parts of the world, the countries have a lot of culture such traditional events are extinct. There are several problems with this issue and I will elaborate more below.
Firstly, some problems causing traditional festivals to disappear that is due to the government did not assist. It could happen because of budget limitations also they have other priorities that are urgent such as education, health, and infrastructure development. Secondly, a strong influence of the Western lifestyle on social media. For example, some teenagers prefer to heed their lifestyle rather than sustain traditional celebrations and assume that it is old-fangled. If environments followed their habits, it would eliminate identity and change the way to behave and mindset, even the society probably did not realize that traditional carnivals are important to preserve the culture.
The are several measures that can be taken to address the problem of traditional festivals disappearing. Many schools have to oblige some learning for students about the culture to maintain it. For example, one of the various cultures in Indonesia is Tana Toraja, all of the schools in Toraja preserve learning of their local culture such as the local language. Thus that matter makes many local people still maintain their culture and also always celebrate the traditional festivals every year introducing many tourists who come to visit as well as encouraging foreign people to know their culture. Therefore it can be an example for other cultures in many countries to keep civilization.
In conclusion, the causes of this are the nations not supporting traditional festivals because they have other important and then it is not the time anymore because changing times. Meanwhile, there are solutions to keep learning about local culture also still celebrate which have the benefit could being more widely known.
