There is an increasing trend in the number of athletes who uses prohibited substances in order to enhance their performance. One of the important reasons for this phenomenon is that some players feel really stressed during the competition, a possible solution for this is government can put strict rules to reduce from this phenomenon.

The pressure on the atheletes is one of the most influential causes for them to use banned substances, as the player feels really stressed and that he wants to achieve the first place, also the media plays a crucial role in affecting in the players mood, some players may feel stressed because of the media affection on them. Some other players use steroids to fulfill their self esteem by achieving the highest places.

The government may use many solutions to lower from this phenomenon. It can put harsh rules for the violators like paying an expensive fine. It can appoint proffesinal therapists to help reduce from pressure on atheletes. For example the UK government established an initiative known as 100% me, this initiative helps athelete to just depend on their effort to achieve the highest places and to always trust on themselves and to not lose their self esteem even if they didn’t achieve a high record.

To conclude. Many atheletes (by the motive to achieve highest place) do whatever it takes to fulfill their self esteem. Governments can put a lot of rules and make many initiatives to minimize the spread of this phenomenon.
