Band 5+: In many urban areas, planners tend to arrange shops, schools, offices, and homes in specific areas and separate them from one another. Do the benefits of this trend outweigh its drawbacks?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Most city planners create a specific area for each society needs like exclusive area for shopping, studying, working, and living. It separates different zone for different purposes from each other. In contrast, reversed arrangements will create a dense neighborhood and leads to traffics, while specifying each areas with their needs will help a city to be well structured and offer different signature to every area. This essay believed that by creating an exclusive zone will generate much more advantages for the city.

If a city is does not have a specified zone it will create a dense neighbourhood. Most people would most likely to come to one specific location for their every needs. That means only one selected area would be very busy and populated while leaving the rest of the area with less population. Having a populated neighbourhood would eventually leads to traffic as many cars and people would gathers around only at one centre location.

In contrast by having a specific zone for their own needs, will make a city well structured. People would know which specific area they have to go to for their needs without confusion. Morever, it would help every neighbourhood to have their own signature characteristic and to be known and remember for that signature. This could help brand each neighborhood to the society.

From the explanation above, it can be concluded that having a city plan with their own specific areas would help a city to be well structured and offers a different signature to every neighbourhood.
