Band 6+: In marriage today, some argue that it is the responsibility of both spouses to earn a living for the family. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many people believe that both husband and wife should share the responsibility for earning a living for the family. I absolutely agree with this notion.

By both contributing to the family income, it can reduce stress. For instance, when families have many resources, they tend to be calm and not afraid about what they will eat or drink in the future. Moreover, working together also helps their family because they can encourage each other to achieve their goals.

In addition, divorce has become an issue these days because of low income; due to this, spouses must earn a living to tackle this issue. A good illustration of this is that, in 2023, Java had 500 divorce cases because of bad income. It creates problems in families and promotes the idea of ending marriages; otherwise, when couples have wages, they tend to be happy families. So that means it provides a stable and fulfilling life for the family, strengthening bonds and preventing divorce.

To conclude, this shared responsibility can help them reduce stress and prevent divorce. Furthermore, they can support each other to achieve their dreams and strengthen bonds.
