In the most societies, some people still believe that the roles of mother and father are distinct. How will the societal shifts reshape the role of parents.

To begin with, in most societies people believe that the role of a mother is just to give birth to a child and look after child’s schooling, eating and home work . On the flip side, father is the one who brings money for bread and butter and does not have to do anything with the child’s care. The first and foremost reason for these differences is that people are illiterate and still follow old customs and traditions.

In addition to, these old fashioned societies do not have family planning, birth rate is high so women are compelled to stay at home and feed the children. As a result, women suffer the fully responsibilities for a child’s development , whereas men are typically expected only to work and support financially.

However, in the future the scenario will change. We are living in an era of globalization in 21 century. We are influenced by westurn culture. Nowadays , people are educated , literate and aware of things . Parents understand their responsibilities and work equally for the holistic development of the child. As a result, in the future , due to education and globalization these differences will reduce and children will have a bright future.

To encapsulate, there are many reasons for the gender differences in parental roles, but the future is predicted to hold no such differences.
