In this day and age, there has been a noticable tendency where people believe that research about the culture, lifestyle of the country which are chosen to learn their language can help people to learn better. Personally, I totally agree with this issue, which are going to indicate in this essay
On the one hand, cultural learning language can bring the learners the value, belief and worldview of a culture. Some languages have the words or expressions that do not have direct translations in other languages, because they capture a unique aspect of that culture. For instance, the word “banh mi”, which use to describe the traditional Vietnamese food made from a short bread with several hams, grill porks and some vegetable like cucumbers or tomatoes. That bread is so very different from the bread that have the origin from France or some Europe countries. As a result, Oxford dictionary input that word as an isolate word to describe these food.
On the other hand, learning language involve culture and lifestyle is nescessary but not sufficient. The important award when learning language is that people might understand and communicate that language masterfully. Therefore, not only learning about the culture as well as lifestyle of some countries but also knowing how to use the word, understanding the vocabulary, sentences and practicing the pronunciation. For example, some student might pay attention to a history story of some countries, which is the ways to expand their cultural knowledge of a language, nevertheless, they print in their origin language. At that time, people have to get a basic knowledge of that language to read the information in the books.
In conclusion, for the reason I have mentioned above, I strongly agree that learning language ought to involve the culture and lifestyle
