In some origins, refusing to employ human beings depending on their age is perceived as an illegal action in a workplace. Personally, I consider it to be a positive development as anyone may have financial difficulties, and if they are not able to earn legally by working, they will do it in an illegal way.
To begin with, financial difficulties do not choose the age. In today’s costly world, almost the half of population struggles to pay taxes, rent payments, and cover other necessities in order to survive. If the employers start putting restrictions on hiring its employees based on their age, people who do not suit the age standards are going to be left homeless, starving and begging for some cash. Also, there is a possibility of rising a problem such as unemployment. For example, many teenagers work as waiters or shop assistants as their part-time job after their studies; however, if there are restrictions enabling minors to work, there will be a sharp decline in services employment category. Eventually, this will influence countries economy and reputation in general.
Second of all, crime rates are going to rise. By not allowing to work at certain ages, the government, in this way, takes away the opportunity of earning legal money. Individuals who are not allowed to work will not have any chance but to commit minor crimes such as shoplifting in order to survive. For example, there are dysfunctional families, single mothers with unstable and low income, and lots of children to feed. In such cases, young children want to help their breadwinner with earning money, but if it is not allowed for them to work, it will provoke them to commit crimes.
In conclusion, I hold a positive view toward the idea of making it illegal to hire employees based on their age because with financial difficulties may face anyone, and if working in order to cover their necessities is not allowed to them, it will contribute to earning money by committing crimes.
