Positions have become increasingly polarised on fact of whether children formal education is necessary to begin at the age of around four or it is reasonable to let them study when they reached seven or eight years old. I agree that children have to start school at the older age.
First of all, it is much more comfortable for children to start studying later because their basic skills can be more prepared. Before turning seven they should learn how to do the most useful things and household chores. Moreover, many children are not independent from their parents at all. Sometimes they don’t even know how to take care of themselves. Therefore, people need to have enough time in childhood to explore the world before facing education pressure. For example, the child of my family’s friends started to study at school at the age of 5 and he was astonished because of extraordinary rules. In spite of excellent grades, it was a traumatic experience due to the fact that he couldn’t look after himself properly without his parents’ help.
Secondly, children’s brain cells should be on the certain level because the study process will go faster and much more beneficial for them. Moreover, psychological strength is also required for school given that it is inevitable to avoid problems on their path. Therefore, it is harmful for child’s mental growth. If schools didn’t have loads of homework and academic pressure, early education would be thought advisable all over the world. For instance, 4-year-old students can understand one theme in 3 lessons while 8-year-old children easily get through it in 30 minutes. Studying at school from an early age is completely unreasonable and ambitious attempts to make a genius child this way often become unhealthy for them.
To conclude, early education is required only in specific situations and it shouldn’t be normalized. Therefore, formal education is an overwhelming ordeal for children because they often aren’t developmentally ready .
