In some states, the youth demonstrate little interest in classical music and musical education. In my opinion, it stems from the popularity of new genres, which are far easier to comprehend while Mozart and Bach require some taste and understanding, so children and teenagers should visit and learn more about them to develop the sense of beauty.
First of all, it is evident that piano and cello concerts have given way to short TikTok videos accompanied by uncomplicated but catchy and relaxing melodies. As a result, young people get accustomed to such oversimplified art and have difficulties staying concentrated on long performances in the Philharmonic. Another point to consider is that having ears is not enough to take pleasure in soul-touching classical rhythm, so an individual needs to broaden their background knowledge, whereas light tracks enable them to relax.
Regarding the role of music schools, the correlation between playing the instruments and intellectual growth is scientifically proven. In other words, being an important part of development, the classics should be involved in the upbringing process along with teaching math and mother tongue. In addition, the authorities have to find ways to spark the enthusiasm of kids and adolescents to attract them to instruments classes, for instance, by hiring influencers to popularize classical music.
In conclusion, it should be said that although an organist deprives a listener of an opportunity to fully relax and think about nothing, they do not only form the taste from childhood but also activate brain work, and for this reason, the attention of young people should be shifted towards classical concerts and schools.
