Nowadays, only a small number of young attend and make an effort to play classical music. There are a number of reasons behind this trend and some initiatives should be taken to motivate our youths to attend and learn this traditional music category.
There are several reasons behind the unpopularity of classical music among younger people. One reason is that it is not the only available music type on air in this modern era. A number of better alternatives like pop music, hip-hop music are also available, which offers better quality of sound and lyrics that meets the taste of younger generation. Another reason why people do not prefer visiting to live concert is the inconvenience of attending to the live classical music performance. In other words, people can easily listen to their favourite pop music in their smartphone which is more handy and easy to access. Finally, modern music has more to offer than classic ones, which has a tendency to follow the traditional methods. So, it is therefore clear that people from this generation would prefer the most advance ones which offers the best experience of listening to music.
We should definitely encourage young people to attend the live classic music and try to learn it. This is because of the importance that classical music has in our culture and tradition. The lyrics of classical music contains the traditional vibes of our culture and it is a part of our culture. So, to preserve a part of our culture, we should take care of the classical music and to do this, certain initiatives should be taken by the governments and public officials.
In conclusion, although due to the technological advancement in the modern music industry, people are not nurturing and listening to classical music. We should encourage them to take care of the classic ones and aid to protect the traditional classic music.
