In the modern age, governments allocate a large proportion in transportation sector. So, they try to convince people use public transport mostly rather using own vehicles. In my opinion, using public transport as a means of their daily life in lieu of private vehicles is a good initiate.
By declining the total numbers of own transport in our country, it will be a great advantage to our society. Traffic jam, which is one if the most crucial problem, causes wastage of time to residents. It can be reduced somewhat by reducing the number of private transport. It is common to see such as a long queue in front of the fuel station. By reducing own trasnport we can not only be benefitted by socially but also environmentally. What is more, a public transport like- bus, train take more passengers than a private vehicle such as car, bike.
On the other hand, time, which is a value at on word, cannot be reduced in travelling to one destination to another through using these public transports. In a family, everyone has to go in different places such as school, hospital, office, market at a time. Arriving to the definite places within the shortest time become impossible without using own transport. Remarkably, in an emergency situation such as for a patience, having an own vehicle becomes a priority.
To conclude, people cannot live their livelihood smoothly only using the public transport. But, limitation should be fixed for a family to access own vehicle. Overall, using combination of public vehicles and own transport with proper management depending on the situation may have a better effect on people socially and environmentally.
