In this fast-paced era, due to the advancement in technology, the lifestyle of humans is altering exponentially in developed and developing nations. I believe that the disadvantages of this trend outweigh the merits.
To commence with, since the last few decades people have become advanced now. With the acceleration of higher education and job opportunities, they have to live far from their loved ones in order to achieve their dreams. However, distance living leads them to depression, loneliness and anxiety which disrupts their performance and peace and it becomes an obstacle in the working field. For example, recently & news published which depicts that 68% of the college students are living abroad for the degree.
Moreover, excessive consumption of technical gadgets such as mobile phones and laptops generates the generational gap in families. This causes arrogant, bizarre and disrespectful behaviour, mostly in adolescents. Apart from this, nowadays in family both men and women are working which impact on their children because they live alone at home after school and they are becoming introverted and socially anxious. As they live alone, they inevitably have no option but to use electronics.
In contrast, there is some technical advancement. Individuals who live far are provided by mobile phones which reduce the distance because they can do calls and video calls through the internet as compared to previous times they used to send letters with less conversation and letters take a couple of working days to deliver. Secondly, masses have become more advanced and independent because living alone reduces dependency in their life.
To conclude, there are a plethora of changes that occurred in everyone’s life but the modern lifestyle contains more disadvantages than advantages.
