Band 5+: In some countries, the number of people who visit museums and art galleries is declining. What are the reasons for this? How can this trend be reversed?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There has been a noticeable decline in the number of individuals visiting historical museums and art galleries across the world. The main cause of this phenomenon is that young generation is not fascinated to visit such places, and the most viable solution is to launch a public awareness campaign to preserve the aesthetic value of these exhibit.

The primary reason associated with this is that people are provided with nearly everyone in this fast paced modern world is busy, either in their academics or careers, having no availability of time to visit museums. In other words, in order to acquire success in life, individuals not only spend endless hours, but also work hard to enhance their intellectual knowledge and competence, providing them with very less free time to visit art exhibitions. For instance, in India, an office employee have to work 9 to 5 on the daily basis in a company, even after coming home they are not left with much time to rest leading to a decline in interest to trip to such attractions.

A long-term solution to this predicament is to launch a publicity campaign to educate young people about the value of cultural heritage. Children in schools can be taught about why they should once in lifetime go to museums or art galleries. They are more likely to teach their parents about the things they learned at the school and adults will also be influenced by this initiative. For example, school children in Germany were taught about how life was back in the ancient period, this significantly improved their fascination towards museums.

In conclusion, these days very few people are interested in visiting art galleries and museums because of their busy schedules. However, it can be addressed by making society interested in history.

large companies should pay higher salaries to CEOs and executives compared to the other workers. To what extend do you agree or disagree ?

There is a view that CEOs and executives in large companies should be paid significantly more than ordinary workers. I completely disagree with this idea, as it leads to inequality, undermines employee motivation, and does not fairly reflect contributions to company success. One reason why excessively high executive pay is unjustified is that it creates […]

It is widely argued that governments should make higher education free so that every individual, regardless of their financial background, has the freedom to study further. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that governments are responsible for free higher education for some underprivileged individuals. While this may work to a certain extent, I believe that governments should not be entirely free for every student. On the one hand, it is understandable why higher education should be free for every individual. Firstly, many underprivileged would […]
