In the contemporary world, there has been a notable decline in traditional cultural practices and languages. This essay aims to examine the underlying causes and suggest some viable measures to tackle this issue.
One significant reason contributing to this trend is the development of globalization decreases the value of traditional culture. Specifically, globalization facilitates Western culture through films, music, and technology. As a result, the young generation distance themselves from their local culture. Instead, they concentrate on applying themselves to global trends. Another factor is technology, social media and a modern lifestyle, which making
adolescent leave little room for traditional custom and language. Accordingly, traditional custom and languages are fading which each passing generations.
Despite these challenges, several effective solutions can be implemented to address this issue. The most effective solution is enhancing traditional cultural education in schools. Concretely, schools can oragnize classes mainly about history, traditional custom and languages or organize cultural extracurricular activities. Thus, students will understand and respect the value of traditional culture; thus, raise awareness of responsibility for promoting and preserving national culture. Moreover, another feasible approach worth mentioning lies in organizing cultural promotion programs through media channels and social networks. Specifically, government and organization can implement cultural promotion campaign through social media, films, or community events such as cultural festival. Consequently, reinventing traditions to resonate with the younger generation and safeguard our linguistic and cultural heritage.
