The stage of life when individuals are having children has been really increasing in many parts of the world. This essay is supported by a variety of factors and has extensive harmful impacts for both familial and social structures.

In contemporary times, a numerous factors affect the choice to delay childbearing. People are increasingly emphasizing education and skill development to enhance their career advancement. Research conducted by experts at Oxford University suggests that the preference of education and professional development is contributing to the delay of family planning. The increasing cost of living, coupled with unchanging or falling wages, is leading to the postponement of family planning. For instance, enough financial resources and government assistance are essential for successful child-rearing. Overall, Contemporary society presents numerous challenges that are delaying the beginning of having children.

However, this tendency has numerous negative effects for both families and society. First and firmest, decreased birth rates may result in a labor shortage, which could negatively impact economic activity. In addition, Childless couples may experience higher rates of marital discord and divorce compared to couples with children. Elderly women may face increased challenges with conception and a higher risk of pregnancy-associated health issues, including miscarriage, hypertension, and gestational diabetes. By and large, this pattern has a detrimental impact on both family units and society at large.

In conclusion, the age at which individuals are choosing to have children is steadily increasing. The various challenges posed by contemporary society are leading to a delay in childbearing, which in turn is having a negative consequence on both families and society.
