As the importance of preventing obesity has been acknowledged in modern society, many people believe that children’s eating habits are the primary cause of obesity. In response to this phenomenon that the number of obese children has increased radically, the government should become responsible to help children form proper eating habits.
These days, as increasing obesity among children has been a serious issue, many medical experts believe that children’s eating habits play a major role in being obese. Nowadays, since many children living in developed countries are easily exposed to a variety of junk foods such as hamburgers and pizzas containing a lot of sugar and fat, they started to have unbalanced diet on a daily basis. Furthermore, they can be addicted to these foods with stimulative tastes because they do not have a high level of patience as adults. In this regard, it is easy for children to become overweight due to their wrong eating habits, leading serious health problems such as diabetes.
Top address this problem, the government should find the ways to encourage children to form healthy eating habits. First of all, the government can run health campaigns to teach children to have a sense of responsibility to eat health and nutrient foods on a daily basis. This will effective for children to follow because it can give a easy demonstration for eating habits. Not only that, the government must take care of obese children and children in risk at obesity by offering free regular check-up systems and training programs suitable for young people. Therefore, the government could make an effort to improve the awareness of the risk in children’s obesity and decrease the rate of obesity among children by these ways.
To sum up, it is evident that unbalanced diet is a primary cause of the rising obesity rate among children. Hence, the government should not overlook this problem by helping children to manage their health with campaigns and health programs.
