The history of traditional events such as festivals and celebrations goes back to a thousand years ago. In some countries, traditional events have vanished or have lost their popularity. It is causing lots of problems. In this essay, I will explain these possible problems and I will give solutions to tackle with them.
In my opinion, the first problem is the loss of culture. One of the most important ways to transfer culture to the young generation is by teaching our history and traditional events especially, in fun occasions such as festivals and celebrations. Since, the decrease in traditional events we have lost one of the informative platforms. For instance, at festivals people put on traditional costumes and do historical acts they can attract youngsters’ attention so, they encourage them to study about the history of these clothes and activities.
Moreover, it is causing to decrease in the number of places that provide socialization. At festivals, local people hang out together and they can meet their friends or make new friends it helps to break isolation, and can improve depression and mental diseases. for instance, the last festival took place in the town hall and we had a fantastic time with our new friends.
In conclusion, traditional festivals create informative and social places where people can learn about the culture and have fun activities so they are very important and need most attraction to them. Our governments and local people should run all traditional celebrations and encourage people by holding competitions and rewarding some prizes for preventing forgiveness of them.
