With overpopulation becoming increasingly common in today’s world, some people believe that we should invest money to research other planets. I completely agree with this opinion. This is due to the fact that exploring life on other planets prevents us from becoming overpopulated.
Advocates of funding research on other planets contend that it provides more suitable places for living. Living on other planets such as Mars provides us with renewable sources like oil, water, and energy. So, while discovering the planet, researchers may find those kinds of sources. Additionally, we may experience unique events on other planets. For example, we may encounter living things, such as plants, organisms, and maybe animals.
One main reason why I agree with this view is that it could help ensure the long-term survival of humanity. If Earth eventually becomes uninhabitable due to climate change and running out of natural resources, humans need an alternative planet to live on. Therefore, space research can be viewed as an investment in our future.
Another reason for this opinion is that migrating to other planets gives Earth an opportunity to recover its resources. Since the more people go to another planet, the fewer people use resources on Earth. For instance, nowadays most people are facing a shortage of water, energy, and even fresh air, so if half of the people migrate to a world beyond Earth, the demand for resources might be reduced.
To conclude, those factors might help people live on an ideal planet without any problems.
