This essay discusses the necessity of humanity’s expansion to other planets, such as Mars, and argues that we should invest in research for this purpose. In my opinion, investing in space exploration could be a good idea, but we must not forget about Earth.
Firstly, scholars are able to study space continuously due to the availability of necessary resources for their laboratories. For instance, we have space apparatus, life support systems, communication technology, and rockets. At this time, Elon Musk is a prominent figure in space exploration with his company, SpaceX, which has developed powerful technology and successfully launched rockets into space each year. While it may seem unwise to allocate funds for space research now, it might become necessary in the future. However, we must focus on pressing issues first.
Secondly, we are currently facing many unresolved problems, such as the conflict between the USA and Iran, food shortages, and others. In a world with conflicts involving major powers, it is difficult to focus on ambitious projects like space exploration. If we can resolve these issues, perhaps we can then consider dedicating funds to studying space.
In conclusion, while the idea of investing in space exploration has its merits, I do not fully agree with it at this moment. Our world is grappling with a multitude of problems, including global warming, water scarcity, and more. However, we should not neglect the importance of space research and exploration, as we live in an era of rapid change and technological advancement. Ultimately, we should prioritize solving the problems facing Earth before intensifying our efforts to research other planets.
