In the recent years, travelling has become one of the most common ways of entertainment. While there are some who believe people are more likely to travel within their native country, there are others who state that more and more people will tend to go overseas for their holidays. In my perspective, travellers will visit other countries more than the past.
The proponents of the notion that people will travel nationally more than internationally provide valid reasons to support their idea. The national journeys could be more beneficial financially as different types of the transportation and accommodation are less inexpensive in the domestic trips. In addition, individuals believe that they could benefit the local people by supporting the local businesses. As a result of their support, the economic situation of their country will improve, which could lead to a better life for them indirectly.
Conversely, the opponents of the concept highlight crucial reasons for travelling out of one’s country. With technological advancement, the number of people interested in travelling abroad is increasing dramatically. Nowadays, travelling to other countries is much faster and easier than any other time. For instance, a suitable flight could be chosen among the thousands of choices and tickets could be purchased by a simple click, making travelling easier than any other time in the history.
Furthermore, social media has helped a large number of world hidden gems to be known to the public, resulting in an increase in the number of the tourists in the area. People travel to these tourist hotspots, no matter where they are situated. In the near future, more and more people will feel the need to travel to various continents to see what influencers and other people on social media saw.
In conclusion, although domestic journeys may seem inexpensive and might help support the people from the same nation, due to an improvement in the technology and a growth in the social media, people will visit places outside of their country.
