Band 6+: in the future, more people will choose to go on holiday in their own country and not travel abroad on holiday. do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, people have various choices of their tourism destinations. While some individuals argue that more people prefer visiting local tourism attractions in the future, I believe travelling abroad would be more attractive.

Undoubtedly, travelling domesticly has several advantages compared with travelling abroad. Primarily, the cost of local travelling is much cheaper, make it affordable for many people. Furthermore, people can choose different transportation for their trips, such as driving, airplanes, trains and buses, which can make their travels more efficient and comfortable. Language may be another important factor that could impact people’s choice, it is easier for tourists to communicate inside their own country without language barrier. Lastly, tourism industry has been a lucrative sector in most countries, many local governments launch campaigns to attract more tourists from other cities.

On the other hand, travelling abroad is becoming more popular over decades. Nowadays the cost of travelling abroad has been reduced by cheap flights, it allow more people fly abroad. In China, the cost of visiting Tailand can be even cheaper than visiting some domestic tourism attractions. Additionally, people desire to experience different cultures and customs, it is a good chance to meet their curiosities and expand their horizon. And also they can try to learn a different language during the trip. For example, many parents may send their children to summer camps hold in another country, these children can practice their second language and try to learn from other cultures. The development of global relationship also offer huge opportunities for people to travel abroad, it is easy for a individual travel to meet a relative or friend abroad.

In conclusion, there are more choices for people to travel to, and I believe travelling abroad will be more popular than in their own country.
