Over the last ten years, international travel via airplane has increased exponentially worldwide. In my opinion, there has been an increase in air travel because of economic and personal reasons, which I deem as a positive development.
Nowadays, a great number of people go to different countries because of economic reasons. In other words, many workers go to another country because it is profitable for them. Making this decision may have been instigated by the lack of opportunities and low salaries back in their home country. As a result, going to a more developed country will imply a bigger salary which will allow them to purchase their daily needs and send out funds to their family back in their country of origin. For example, in the Philippines, many workers decide to become Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as they are promised better salaries and quality of life in another country.
International travel is also more popular than ever because of the people’s desire to see the world and explore its greatest wonders. In other words, people travel internationally to see a country’s scenic spots as well as to immerse in its culture. For example, many tourists go to Japan to see Mt. Fuji, traverse Shibuya Crossing, and taste great food in Tsukiji Market while some go to Osaka and Kyoto to experience Japan in their olden days.
In my view, traveling to other countries is good because it helps people provide for themselves and their families and it makes people happy. Simply put, it boosts a person’s quality of life because it brings better work opportunities for others and fulfills travel goals for many people.
In conclusion, traveling internationally has increased tremendously, and will continue to do so because of the comfort and joy it brings to the rest of the world.
