Band 7+: In the past, many male leaders had led our society to conflicts and violence. The world would be better governed and more peaceful if it were ruled by women. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In earlier times, there was a wide range of disastrous wars and conflicts stemming from male leaders’ decisions; the world might hence be a better place if it were run by females. While I partly agree with this statement, I am more convinced by the idea that explains why I also encourage males to have the right to rule.

On the one hand, it is undeniable that men are often aggressive by nature; however, there is no robust evidence to prove that gender is the main factor contributing to violent conflicts of male leaders in the past. Firstly, saving nations from the forays of enemies is an advantage of having male governments. Since they would spend more money to modernize and develop the army, and come up with excellent tactics to lead, it helps them have the power to confront the wars of other countries. For example, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s Dien Bien Phu victory, with the method of “avoiding the strong, attacking the weak,” created a glorious historical victory for the nation. Moreover, leaders not only help their inhabitants’ lives but also improve economic conditions. For instance, Uncle Ho, one of Vietnam’s great leaders, implemented policies to reduce poverty and illiteracy, helping to increase the country’s economy and people’s awareness.

On the other hand, it would bring many advantages if females governed the world. Inhabitants would have a high-end life, since hard work is one of the excellent characteristics of women; therefore, they would have more policies to motivate populations to do their utmost to thrive in the economy. Furthermore, instead of investing a huge amount of money in developing the military, females would spend it on improving the health care system, education, and entertainment. It helps citizens have fully modern and necessary infrastructure for a better life. Therefore, if women governed the world, fewer conflicts and controversial problems would occur.

In conclusion, both female and male leaders can govern their nations well. Nevertheless, each has different methods to rule and develop their world.

While some fathers and mothers provide their dependents with a foreign language during their childhood years, others may disagree.
