We live in an age when information and knowledge are stored in e-books instead of traditional books. Personally, this practice has more positive impacts than negative ones.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why it is more beneficial to store knowledge on the internet. Firstly, it is easier and more convenient for people to look into essential information. It can be explained that people just need to have an electronic device connecting with the high-speed internet to find any suitable and important information at their home in lien of going to libraries and reading a variety of books. As a result, it is more time-saving for people to study anything. Moreover, it is not too complicated for students and scientists to get access to foreign documents with the emergence of e-books. For example, a Vietnamese student can read the books which are relevant with their major of the professionals in other nations on their laptops or cellphones, since these books can be downloaded.
On the other hand, thanks to the storage of information on the internet, a person will have the ability to possess more crucial books and documents, because information in these books or documents will be stored on the cloud services. For example, only a finite number of books could be contained in bookshelves at home in the past. However, thousands of books have been downloaded and stored into a private electronic device in recent years. Furthermore, governments can spend less money on facilities at libraries, because there can be a significant decline in the number of people visiting to libraries. They can use that spare expenditure for more important purposes such as medical researches, boosting tourism industry, and more which are parts and parcels of the fundamental development of the country.
In conclusion, the advantages of storing information on the internet instead of printed books totally outweigh the disadvantages.
