In today’s world, people have a trend to travel abroad rather than in their country. Yet, there remains disagreement as to whether the overall effect of this trend has been positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the contrary, I personally believe that the drawbacks of international tourism far outweigh its benefits. These drawbacks are twofold.
First of all, it is an indisputable fact that traveling abroad costs extremely money instead of traveling domestically. This is because travellers spend a lot of money on transportation or accommodation since the exchange rate is usually higher. A typical example of this is that flight tickets to fly other country is often around 5 millions VND, while domestic flight is about 1.5 millions VND. This makes waste of money for travellers, leading to not enough budget for relax activities. As a result, after people come back their country, they have to more work to earn money, which makes them stress.
Equally importantly, though, the environmental pollution is a serious problem when traveling abroad as there are number of people who go there at the same time. For instance, in the end of the years at Thai Lan, this country has a lantern festival that is the biggest at that place. Therefore, travellers from all country go to this place and after leaving, there are significant trash such as plastics food
