Band 6+: Some say that museums should charge for entry; others think they should be free.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

One group of people think entry to museums should be free of cost, while other set of individuals believe people should pay to visit. We will discuss the merits and demerits of both the cases in this essay and assess solutions.

A museum is a place where we can learn about many things. They contain variety of sections to acquire knowledge from. One can learn about biology, zoology, history, botany and much more. A set of population believe that museums should be free because many can not afford the entry fee. And that it should be available to everyone. Knowledge should not be limited to a certain group and money should not be a hindrance. Folks can frequently visit museums as a way to gain knowledge or just as a leisure. Families can bring their children to teach them new things and encourage them to study more.

While there are many advantages to the unpaid entry, there are also some aspects that should be taken into account. Staff might find it hard to manage the crowd, they may need to supervise more with the number of people visiting, items in that place might need more maintenance as people are prone to damaging artifacts, children could abuse the property and employees might struggle to prevent possible theft.

We assessed the advantages and disadvantages that are possible. A possible solution to this might be to have a lower entry fee instead of a cost free one, workers may need to manage the crowd effeciently, parents must oversee children, charge people for any damage caused, appoint common museum guides, set certain rules to follow and mainly install proper security surveillance.

In conclusion, it need not be entirely free but with certain boundaries it could work effeciently.
