Some people claim that technological advancements could help people to travel foreign countries without wasting time. Personally, I partly agree with this suggestion based on some major reasons that are explained in this essay.
On the one hand, there are some persuasive rationales that support the claim that travelling to another country without leaving home thanks to the Internet. In the fast-paced world, though, individuals are too busy to meet their basic needs, they still need a measure to relieve their stress such as travel to another country. Technological advancements are produced to help humans solve that issue by sitting at home with an electric device, people can satisfy themselves through some visual images about the destination they want to go. Moreover, for some people with low income backgrounds, who want to broaden their knowledge about history, and cultural diversity of many nations could use this method to adapt their demands.
On the other hand, opponents of the previous view claim that travel to foreign countries via the Internet may bring some obstacles and problems. Many recreational sites or tourist destinations have been built to welcome travelers to experience their beautiful scene as well as their devotion.
But by using sitting at home and feeling it via an electric device might not only that passengers would not perceive all the values but also affect that nations turnover. Thus, if the destinations were solely provided for domestic guests, the tourism industry of some nations would not have comprehensive development, affecting directly the economy of those regions.
In conclusion, although there are mixed opinions about whether people should use the Internet to travel without leaving home, I think that the final decision depends on the financial resources as well as the schedule of each individual.
