Currently, society is changing after COVID-19 period and people’s opinion about the relationship is very different. Some people believe that having a few close friends is better , while others prefer to have a wide social circle. Although there are several benefits of choosing a few close friends,in college, it is better to have a wide social circle.
In college or university it is better to have a big circle of friends as it will give you more perspectives and opportunities. Within a wide circle of friends , you have the opportunity to reflect on different ideas and you can enjoy the interesting, beneficial brainstorming. Moreover, with a big amount of friends, you could receive different kinds of support in different fields. For instance, you are organizing the event as soon as you are a college student, thanks to your wide social circle , you can ask for help from your friends from different organizations and clubs. Also, in a wide social circle you will not suffer because of the limited amount of time provided with friends. In other words, if you will have only a few friends , you will struggle because of the university’s timetable or other activities. For example you have two close friends and one of them will have the lesson when you are calling him to lunch while your second friend will be busy because of his personal interests. It means you stay alone because of your daily schedule , however, in a big social circle you will enjoy and provide time with the people who are not busy.
On the other hand, it is good to have a few , but close friends. Although their amount is limited, you will have reliable and trustworthy partners who will support you in any situation. Wide social circle has many advantages , but you can share your secrets and pain with only close friends. In college, students are facing many problems and feeling depression over time and in such situations you will need close friends who will listen and support you .
