The allocation of resources in education field is one of the most crucial part to decide the growth of a country’s economy, and for this topic, there are two key opinions about whether the government should give priority to invest in kindergarten education or higher education. I acknowledged that early education play an important role in shaping children’s mindset and behaviour from a young age, however, I’m more strongly to the point that invest in higher education is more worthy.
Admittedly, prioritizing early education can benefit children in several ways. Whoever got a chance to involve in kindergarten class can obviously have significant improvement in well-being, intellectual, emotional management and communication skills. By start building a firm foundation from learning at small ages, children can easily deal with challenges and perform better in their future studies. Moreover, this investment can contribute to reducing inequality in remote area and creating good opportunities for students with disadvantages as it help narrow the developmental gap between children with different backgrounds. Children can then experience high-quality education to overcome difficulties and step closer to their future success.
Nevertheless, the advantages of higher educational investment should not be underestimate as they helps to give proper training and guidance in practical skills for students. While in lower grades, student have to learn theoretical-based knowledge, in university or college education, they focus more in enhancing skills along with complicated studies which is very essential. For instance, there are numerous jobs that require practical experience and specializing guidance in higher education, like scientist, doctors, engineers… Having a strong upper educational system can help training talents individuals that can contribute to a country’s economic growth. Additionally, with the increasing competitiveness in the global market, a nation with outstanding university education quality can benefit in attracting potential investment from overseas, increase the values of goods and contribute to national prosperity.
To conclude, while the importance of childhood education is undeniable, invest in higher education can also leave significant influence on a nation’s growth. Yet, to ensure a better performance, the government should have a clever consideration in improving education quality in general to maintain long-term success.
