It is said that everyone should have a car, a TV and a fridge. While this phenomenon has some disadvantages, I would argue that the positives are more remarkable.
On the one and, there are some negatives of development. Firstly, this development causes environmental problems, such as air pollution. If people always use private cars instead of walking, it will cause traffic congestion. For example, in Vietnam, most of people use motorbikes, which make the country become one of the most polluted country. Secondly, this trend also cause higher energy consumption. When people use electricity appliances, it leads to global warming. For example, in United States, households use many electrical appliances every day, which leads to high energy consumption.
On the other hand, there are some advantages of this development. Firstly, having a car makes life more convenient. If people have their private cars, they can travel more easily. For example, in countries like the United States, many people use cars every day to go to work or school. Secondly, this trend also improves people’s daily life. When people use a TV, they can relax and get information, while a fridge helps them keep food fresh for a longer time. For example, in Japan, most families have these appliances, which makes their lives more comfortable after a busy day.
In conclusion, although this development has some negative effects on the environment, I believe that its advantages are more important. Having a car, a TV and a fridge can make people’s lives more convenient and comfortable. Therefore, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
