It is sometimes believed that college students living in dormitory have more opportunities to improve themselves than those living with their parent This essay strongly agrees with this suggestion for several reasons.
The first argument given to support my opinion is that students choosing a dormitory can lead a more independent life. This is because, they are responsible for all the household chores, such as doing laundry, cooking and cleaning their rooms, which are usually done by their mothers. This can prevent them from wasting their leisure time and being lazy. For these reasons, I believe that living in a dormitory is a valuable experience that helps them improve self-reliance and therefore avoid relying on orthers when facing challenges.
Another point behind my belief is that you can have a better academic performance. The reason for this is that, most dormitories are located near their schools, so students can easily commute to classrooms or libraries. As a result, they can spend less time to travelling and have more time to study. Moreover, living in a dormitory can allow them to study with their classmates and discuss about the lessons or assignments together. In addition, living in dormitory can help students build a stronger relationship with their classmate through study activities. This is why, I believe that dormitory can provide college students many benefits, especially create a rival atmosphere which give students motivation to study hard.
In conclusion, I totally agree that college student should live without their parents’ support given the aforementioned arguments.
