Some individuals are of the view that children at young ages should be given a chance to act independently and have their own decisions. Personally, I partly agree with this suggestion based on some major reasons that are explained in this essay.
On the one hand, there are some persuasive rationales that support the claim that children’s independence should be given. When children are allowed to made their own choice that helps them to develop problem-solving skill and take responsibility for their choices. Moreover, it is a way to accumulate their confidence by themselves, which is a important character to be success and improvement. For example, given them the space for their own decision which is an opportunity for them to manage their own time, separate time effectively, balance between school and entertainment and from that it build up a good habit and self-motivated. I believe that a good way support the way children grown up and became a responsibilities adult.
By constract, there are some potential for harm if children always make their own choice without guides. Since childrens are too young to have enough conscious to fully understand what is the best choice for them or the consequences of action they made and this can put them at risk. For instance, some school children can avoid challenging in school because they afraid go out their safe zone, they don’t believe in themselves that can lead to loss the opportunity to development. So, guidance from adult is a great way too.
In conclusion, children should be given the chance to choose what they want with the adult guidance. I believe that a good way to improve their life skill and become independent with the ability to have opportunity to fully development.
