Nowadays, parents with demanding schedules are usually accused of upbringing undisciplined offsprings. While some explicitly agree with this opinion, others claim the opposite since children with busy parents are usually more responsible than their peers. This essay will discuss both perspectives before ultimately presenting stating my point of view and practical solution to install a sense of discipline among them.
Firstly, parents that spend most of their time at work tend to overlook their children’s needs. Then, these little creatures veer away and pick terrible habits due to the lack of parental supervision over them, so they grow up as nonchalant individuals. Additionally, parents that provide most of their time to their careers are usually a wealthy family, thereby their children are raised with a golden spoon in their mouth, traits like discipline are less familiar with. On the other hand, we find opposants believe these children build discipline from their early ages because they spend most of their time alone, so they learn how to take care and organize their life on their own. Furthermore, educated parents tend to be more severe of their children in order to make them grow faster and follow on their footsteps, so their offsprings tend to show more mental maturity and discipline.
Foster a sense of discipline withing children can be done through multiple measures; for example, parents can make them do the same chores everyday over a long period, this will intuitively program their minds to be discipline and stick to what they do. Also, forcing them to read related books rather than simple stories can make them understand the importance behind it as they progress in life. Showing support and rewarding them for their discipline instead of putting pressure on them can significantly stimulate them.
In conclusion, I am persuaded that busy parents are not responsible for their undisciplined children, although it may affect in some cases. Discipline can be taught and it is easier to be picked as a child.
