The school has many subjects that all pupils need to attend, even if they have a lack of talent. Some people are of the opinion that these children should not be encouraged to attend the Art classes but instead relocate to other areas which are more suitable for them. I tend to agree partially with this statement and in this essay, I will explain the reasons.
It is a common belief that children, during their upbringing, should keep in contact as much as possible with many areas of development, such as Art. These people believe that it will give children the capacity to learn skills and engage with subjects in which they have a lack of aptitude, such as drawing or painting. For example, even though they have no talent for painting now, by continuing to learn the method of painting, it can turn out to be fun and enjoyable, which will lead them to have more interest in it. There are numerous examples of artists who did not have any talent during school, but over the years, have transformed into renowned artists.
On the other hand, it is also a concern for some people that students who lack talent should not be obliged to participate in art class, because it’s not about learning but rather the aptitude which one was born with. There is no means to endure them of doing something for what they have no capacity, as it will only create more stress and a burden. They should be encouraged to do other subjects where they are more capable. For instance, the youngest who have more athletic features should be encouraged and given more time to pursue football rather than spare their time with the Arts, because time is precious and should be used wisely.
However, I believe that even without talent, children should be given an opportunity to learn. There will be no more opportunities for them to try things as they grow older, because when someone gets older, they need to make sure to concentrate entirely on their fields.
Overall, it is arguable that children should be given an opportunity during their upbringing to learn as much as possible about everything. Nevertheless, it is also crucial to understand when it is necessary to stop, if it has become a burden.
