Band 4+: It is universally accepted that eating too much sugar has negative effects on people’s health. Therefore, some believe that governments should control the amount of sugar people consume. Others think that it is the responsibility of an individual to control their sugar intake. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In my opinion, all individuals need to control their sugar intake. When I read my essay question, I thought it was very important and healthy to eat sugar a minimum amount. I heard that a lot of people went to hospital because they did not eat enough sugar. In my life, I have seen only adults who do not eat enough sugar. Because we all know that pupils can not live without candy.

In my life, I have a huge story about this question, but I need to describe it in a short way. That story started like this: One day, I saw in the street one pupil, and he was delighted. His mom had bought him one packet of chocolate. After I saw that they sat on the bench, and after five or ten minutes, the child said that he wanted some chocolate. His mother opened the packet and gave the child some chocolate. The child took it and went away. But after ten or fifteen minutes, the boy came back and gave a part of the chocolate to his mom and took a piece of chocolate and also went away. After that, I was happier than his mother, because she said that she did not want any.

The second opinion is not actually for me, because it looks very unhealthy. In this opinion, they do not think about people’s health and recommend eating a lot of sugar. For me, that opinion cannot have any explanation or examples; for me, that is unimportant.

I think that this question is actually relevant now, too, because minimum or maximum sugar is not great for health. I think that we need to control our sugar intake, because if we do not, we will not be healthy in our future.
