With rapid globalization, it is a common belief that technological advances in the 20th century provide individuals with more leisure time. However, with the rise of artificial intelligence and automation, the labor market has become more competitive than ever. This essay will be covered with my answer along with examples.

On the one hand, it is undeniable that technology has revolutionized numerous aspects of human lives. For instance, the application of automatic high-quality manufacturing machines in the agriculture field will significantly improve the harvesting process and enhance productivity to generate food products in a short period. As a result, this approach efficient approach not only saves time but also provides employees who working in a particular job with the cooperation of technology more leisure time to do their daily activities.

On the other hand, the advancement of modern technologies has led to numerous emerging issues in the labor market. For instance, artificial intelligence is now replacing human resources in multiple work positions due to the mass production and potential efficiency outcomes. To be specific, it creates intense competition in the labor market where each employee has to sacrifice their leisure to acquire knowledge and experience to apply for a well-paid job. Therefore, sacrificing free time is needed to be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to avoid getting old-fashioned and excluded from the job position.

In conclusion, while technology has undoubtedly given rise to greater efficiency and productivity in many areas of life, it has not led to more leisure time. Instead, the demands on our time have simply shifted and changed, and it is up to us as individuals to find ways to balance work and leisure time in this increasingly connected and competitive world.
