Nowadays, many companies’ CEO and senior executives play a pivotal role for the development of a corporate. Therefore, large companies offer significantly higher salaries than other employees. I completely agree that they deserve higher pay because of their responsibilities and the value they bring to the company.
In multinational corporates, many senior-level employees have greater responsibilities and duties as they are making significant decisions. They lead the company and make company strategy, investment and plans. A single poor decision makes a huge financial loss. Senior-level employees or CEOs have rare skills and experience, leadership quality and excellent decision-making abilities. Their leadership quality helps to improve the company performance. Therefore, paying higher salaries delivers benefits for both companies and employees.
Many people argue that although CEOs and senior-level employees are essential, other employees also contribute significantly. Many low-level employees work hard and produce products, provide good quality of service and improve the economy. However, many corporates reduce their salaries and they are considered undervalued. Therefore, companies could invest more wages, bonuses and employee welfare.
In conclusion, even though lower employees have a greater part in the development of a company, senior-level employees and CEOs possess a significant role and are considered as a foundation of a corporate. Therefore, I completely agree that CEOs and senior-level employees should receive higher salaries because of their greater responsibilities and experience that determine a company’s long-term growth.
