It is undeniable that CEOs and executives are paid higher salaries than other workers in the modern era for their contributions to large companies. I totally agree with this statement for two compelling reasons which are discussed below.
The primary reason for this case is that leaders in large companies have to work in severe conditions and use their abilities to help companies work correctly. Indeed, they put much effort into keeping companies operating effectively, such as time, intelligence, and so on. As a result, large companies have to pay well-paid salaries for these positions corresponding to their efforts. For example, Facebook companies paid 5000 dollars to CEOs and executives each month, several times more than other positions in the company.
Another remarkable reason is that big companies want to keep talented people in their companies. Becoming leaders of large companies is not easy for everyone who wants to have a good salary, cause these positions require not only good knowledge with diverse skills in any field but also intelligence and how to deal with any troubles or difficulties when companies get out of control. according to New Magazine, Apple spends at least 1 billion dollars each year to keep CEOs staying in the company.
In conclusion, there are two noteworthy reasons why large companies have to pay higher salaries to CEOs and executives than other positions, including their talent and the effort they put into work. We need to respect them for their effort in these positions.
