In recent years, it has become very common for people to move from the country they were born in. Living in a country where you struggle with the language has its own difficulties. If you cannot handle the language well, it is very likely to lead to misunderstandings or some serious social problems. The obstacles are not only about social life but also practical. In other words, the unfamiliar language can cause bad shopping experiences, problems with the banking process, etc.
While some individuals believe that life among strangers is extremely frightening, others think that it is a quite nice experience. Daily activities might be confusing when one cannot communicate in the country’s language well. If you need to go to government-related departments and you are not comfortable, you might need a person with you. To be honest, this does not leave a good impression on others. While walking on the street or attending an event, you might not enjoy it or even hesitate to do these activities.
On the other hand, if you care about the language and try hard to do your best, you will be much more confident. You will establish relationships with others and build connections such as friendships and neighborhood ties. Your network would be extremely wide-ranging. But in my opinion, the most important feature is that you can open a gate to a completely different world. Sharing moments with new people and having friendly bonds with people all over the world are the best stories you can have.
Whether you know the language like it is your mother language or you are not too comfortable with it, you will have some assimilation problems. But it is in your hands to make it easier. I have a situation similar to these, as I learn English and German. I am not sure where I want to live in the future, but I want to spend some period of my life in another country. In my very own opinion, a person who wants to move to another country must study the language hard. It is really important to learn the language before moving period. Advanced language and cultural knowledge will be learned after the first couple of years.
