Living in megapolises is damaging for humans’ health. I absolutely agree with this point of view for several reasons.
One of the reasons is that life in big cities can negatively affect people’s mental well-being because they often deal with traffic noise and fast-paced lifestyle. This exactly leads to stress and make people overwhelmed. As a result, humans face problems as depression, anxiety and insomnia. Furthermore, as big cities have more opportunities, many citizens work at competitive companies because of what they experience high level of pressure. Consequently, it also contributes to health issues.
Another significant factor is that life in megapolises harm physical health too. There is often overpopulation in such areas which means it causes vehicle emissions and air pollution. Overpopulation usually happens for the reason that big cities includes more chances for better education and work experience. For instance, many students have to move there to study, however, because of air pollution they might have health issues with breathing, heart disease, and cancer.
In conclusion, although life in big cities might have its own positive sides, the negative sides are considered more important caused by air pollution and lifestyle of living there
