Language is one of the main medium for everyone to express ideas. If someone is living in non-native country, can face socio-practical issues. I completely agree with this statement. As anyone who lives in foreign country has to express his ideas, can face social problems like communication and unable to express his views. He or she cannot have a strong bonding with native people. Also, practical problems can arise like job related and daily routine issues.
Firstly, I would like to discuss about the problems related to socialism which can be very serious. The main problem which someone can face is communication gap. As a native speaker is not fluent in the other country language, so it would sometime become difficult to convey meaning or idea. For example, Chinese is a difficult language, so many people face problem when visiting China. Other main difficulty which can be faced is mental dissatisfaction while talking to native speaker. For instance, people feel nervous when they don’t know how to talk. Many people don’t visit other countries just because the reason that they feel shy while trying to interact with native person.
In the same way, if we talk about the practical issues, there can be many. The major issue people face is while driving. There are many signboard all around on roads, which are written in native languages, but people cannot understand them. I would like to share a story when I visited Afghanistan in 2019. I was travelling on road by car, I got an accident on highway just because I cannot understand the signboard language. One more practical problem which people face is during job. Many countries workplace is facilitated with native linguistic approach. But foreigners face problem while doing job. Many letters are inter-office memos are written in country’s specific language which foreigners are unable to understand. One of my friend faced a big difficulty in Germany while working in a factory. All the things were written in German language and he faced this problem till he learned German language.
To sum up, I would say that moving to other nation without that specific country linguistic approach with be a great mess. It will lead to many social and practical problems. The best way is to know the language before departing to non-native country.
