Air travel consumes enormous amounts of fuel, especially long-haul flights, and contributes significantly to pollution. Some argue that instead of restricted uses of cars, we should restrict the unnecessary flights. I believe this contention possesses merit and should be pursued by the relevant authorities.
Citics argue that private cars also a major source of pollution. Unlike airplanes, which carry hundres of passengers at once, more cars contain only one or two passengers. In Dhaka city, for example, traffic congestion is a major problem, numerous cars stuck longer hour, which create huge air pollution. This pollution create numerous disease such as asthma and lung. In fact, the World Health Organization (WHO) reports that over 4 million premature deaths per year are linked to air pollution, much of it from vehicles. Therefore, individuals are unable to span their lives in cities. A student who eager to higher study from India to the UK, without flights, its impossible.
However, it is undeniable that long-distance flights burn an extraordinary amount of fuel. A single flight from London to New York, for instance, uses many thousands of liters of fuel, if an average car uses this liters of fuel, they may run almost a year. Airplans create huge amount of CO2 on sky which impact the atmosphere carbon frootprints. Unlike cars, which only uses CO2 on the ground. Many notions, such as Thiland depend on tourism, if flight would restricted, many hotels, transportations, and local street markets might experienced huge issues. Therefore, flight is essential for many reasons.
In conclusion, many flights create enormous air pollution, which contain major impact on atmosphere. Cars also experienced major impact on greenhouse. I believe they both should be required restricted unnecessary flights and vehicles.
