In this day and age, some individuals are of the claim that various animals species are threatened by extinction. This essay would explain the reasons leading to this problem before proposing some viable and effective solutions.
There are major reasons that explain why some animals species face with the risk of extinction. First, as overpopulation has excessively triggered urbanisation, it causes an increase in the demand for housing estates. As a result, mass destruction of natural habitats are conducted in order to provide spaces for residential construction projects to be implemented. Thus, the shelters of those wildlife species will be inevitably ruined , exposing them to vulnerability. Second, the global poaching crisis, over-harvesting and illegal trading in endangered species have significantly decreased the wildlife population, leading to the depletion of animal species. For example, the hunting of rhinos for horns and excessive exploitation of mammals for fur have radiated those species being endangered or extincted.
